An outreach ministry of St. Anne Catholic NGO
As winter settles over West Michigan, bringing freezing temperatures and harsh conditions, the call to serve our most vulnerable neighbors becomes even more urgent.
A Simple Act, A Meaningful Impact
Each care kit was thoughtfully prepared to meet immediate winter needs. Kits included hygiene items and basic necessities suited for cold weather, while bottled water provided much-needed hydration even in freezing conditions. While these items may seem small, for many they represent comfort, care, and a reminder that they are not forgotten.
As we walked and spoke with individuals throughout the city, we were reminded that homelessness is not just a condition—it is a human experience. Taking time to listen, share a smile, and offer encouragement was just as meaningful as the supplies themselves.
Community in Action
This outreach was made possible through the generosity of supporters, parish partners, and volunteers of St. Anne Catholic NGO who gave their time, resources, and compassion. From assembling care kits to distributing them on-site, every effort played a role in making this day impactful.
We believe that meaningful change begins with presence—meeting people where they are and responding with empathy. These moments of connection strengthen our commitment to serve and advocate for those most in need within our local community.
Looking Ahead
Our winter outreach efforts in Grand Rapids are ongoing. We are committed to continuing outreach efforts that provide practical support while building relationships rooted in respect and care. With continued community support, we hope to expand these initiatives and reach even more individuals facing hardship.
Thank you to everyone who makes this mission possible through St. Anne Catholic NGO, especially our volunteers, donors, and prayer partners. Together, we can continue to be a source of hope, compassion, and light—one care kit, one conversation, and one act of kindness at a time.
If you would like to support or participate in future outreach efforts, please consider volunteering, donating, or sharing our mission with others.
